The journey over the rainbow bridge is the journey into higher awareness…

WALKING THE RAINBOW BRIDGE is a 9-month, non-residential training of experiential and initiatory processes for those who are committed to being a healing presence in the world. Within a safe and sacred community we will explore a path of Awakening, Initiation and Empowerment through universal shamanic practices of direct engagement with Spirit.

We will use Core Shamanism to build a base practice and incorporate other traditions to span the many worlds of global spiritual healing to strengthen this base. In order to span the void, a bridge must have deep foundations of support from both ends. One foundation to be deeply rooted in this Earth, honoring all Life; the other a deep, powerful pillar built upon an active connection to the world of Spirit. We will work together to open ourselves and embody a portal or conduit for Spirit to flow into this Earth and manifest change.

THE TRAINING INCLUDES: Shamanic Journeying to the Upper, Lower and Middle Worlds; Building strong and trusting alliances with one’s own Power Animals and Teachers; Ethical considerations; Working with Spirits of Nature; Creating ritual; Psycho-pomp and after-life related work (Death & Dying); Working with the Spirits of the Ancestors and Descendants; Shamanism and Divination; Medicine for the Earth and Healing with Spiritual Light; Creation of community and techniques for personal healing.

• Self-Healing, Healing for others and healing for those that have departed
• Discover and set your Life’s Missions
• Create a Spiritual practice rooted in Honoring All Life as co-creators on this Earth
• Receive the Nine Rites of the Munay-Ki as a path of Initiation & Awakening

You must be committed to meeting once a month, plus One 3-day residential retreat weekend (TBA). Classes are April 2010 through December 2010. We will meet on the 1st Saturday of each month, except holidays, when we will move to meeting the following week.

Munay-Ki Nine Rites

The Munay-Ki fire ceremony is used to anchor, germinate, nurture, feed and grow the energetic seeds of transformation and harmony planted with the transmission of each Rite. These Fires can be either community events or a private practice. The Munay-Ki Rites are a “give away” from spirit to humanity. We are honored to pass these rites on to you at any of our fire ceremonies. The Rites are offered free of charge.

We are honored to offer Mentoring, Coaching and classes in the Munay-Ki Nine Rites. We gift the Rites and then teach you how to pass these transmission on. You have a part to play in creating the great planetary shift.

The Foundation Rites class:


This course prepares the student to receive and transmit the first four Munay-Ki Rites, The Healer’s Rite, The Bands of Power, The Harmony Rites and the Seer Rite You begin your spiritual and physical journey to become an Earthkeeper.

You will receive the Foundation Rites. You will be taught how to transmit the foundation rites and will transmit them to your classmates. We provide ample mentoring and time to work with these new energies and incorporate them into your field. We walk you through the teaching methods with plenty of practice sessions so you are comfortable and well prepared to pass on these rites.

You will be introduced to ceremony that creates and holds sacred space on a group and personal level. The class is a mix of lecture and discussion, combined with some meditation, journey-work, the transmission of the rites, and ceremony that help you anchor the rites and grow them within.

The Lineage Rites Class:
This course prepares the student to receive and to transmit the final five Munay-Ki Rites, The Daykeeper’s Rite, The Wisdomkeeper’s Rite, The Earthkeeper’s Rite, The Starkeeper’s Rite and the Creator Rite. You will continue your spiritual and physical journey to become an Earthkeeper; to become a Homo-Luminous being.

You will receive the lineage rites. You will be taught how to transmit the lineage rites and will transmit them to your classmates. We provide ample mentoring and time to work with these new energies and incorporate them into your field.

Continued Exploration of Sacred Healing through Transfiguration and Transmutation. This 2-day course focuses on Spiritual Healing of  Dis-ease and Dis-harmony.

The focus of Healing with Spiritual Light will be on learning new methods of healing that can be integrated into your shamanic healing practice. Participants will explore the use of transfiguration (shapeshifting into your own divinity) as well as methods of merging with helping spirits to go beyond traditional healing methods and open them to the power of the universe that knows how to heal and transmute illness. Based on groundbreaking work by Sandra Ingerman, author of Medicine for the Earth: How to Transform Personal and Environmental Toxins. Sandra presented this body of work before the United Nations in July 2006. Its efficacy has been demonstrated in scientific and medical studies.

From cross-cultural legends of shamanic cures to biblical accounts of seas parting and water transforming into wine, the world’s great spiritual traditions are rich with stories about miracles. The ancient healing art of transmutation is based on the alchemical principle: As within, so without; as above, so below.

During this gathering we will create a sacred space in which miracles are possible. Using a powerful combination of journeywork and ceremony, our work will focus on transmuting not only physical toxins in the environment, but also emotional and mental toxins that create harm

This work explores our divine nature and our role as co-creators of our world and teaches how to transform personal and environmental pollution by learning how to transmute negative beliefs, attitudes, and energy which is generated by emotions. The process continues with learning how to work in cooperation with helping spirits and the spirits of the land as well as getting in touch with our own internal divine nature to create healing and transmutation. Flaming Heart Retreat Center is located in Mariposa, California, in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains, just west of Yosemite National Park on 36 acres of land facing east overlooking the high country. The Lodge consists of two 30’ diameter Yurts in which workshops, healing and ceremonial gatherings are held. There is also a Sacred Cave on the land, in which individual teaching and healing work is done.  The morning reveals the rising sun over the distant mountains and the night sky exhibits the Great Mystery, an exquisite canopy of stars. There is quiet and peace here. Flaming Heart is a rustic and natural setting where one is able to leave their ordinary world behind and connect with Spirit through nature and simplicity.

FEE: $225 (Before 9/1/ 2009)         $250 (After 9/1/2009)

2 Dinners included.  Please bring breakfast and lunch foods for yourself and to share.  Refrigeration available.

3 sleeping cabins available for $25 per night.   A group can sleep collectively in the big yurt.   Hotels in Mariposa.

The Nine Munay-Ki Rites

of  Awakening,

Initiation and Empowerment


The Nine Rites of the Munay-Ki are transmissions and attunements kept alive and handed down by lineage keepers of the wisdom traditions of shamanic cultures worldwide. The external form varies from culture to culture but the essence of the transmission is universal. What is handed down are transmissions of energetic seeds that when nurtured, quicken the path to spiritual development and enlightenment. They quicken our journey towards who and what we are becoming as a species. The seeds of these rites can grow within anyone. This is our human birthright and path.

The Munay-Ki rites, as brought to us through the Q’ero Shamans of the Peruvian Andes, are a path of fire and a path of lightning; a fast track to recognizing our true divine nature. Many have felt a calling from spirit and are awakening to make a difference in this world. We, as a people, are on a vision quest. Living a vision and questing for more of who we truly can become. I have been receiving the same message from spirit for over a decade, “Arise, awaken and remember your true selves as radiant beings of light!” This all is a journey in space, time and energy. The  Munay-Ki is the  rocket fuel for this journey.

  • Shamanism is a practice that has been in existence at least 30,000 years and has been used by the ancestors of every culture. In this class you will learn how to journey to non-ordinary reality to get direct spiritual guidance. This is a core shamanic skill used for many different purposes such as divining, problem solving, healing and gathering power. By using the beat of the drum, you will learn how to move into an altered state of consciousness to gain access to non-ordinary reality to get direct spiritual guidance.
  • This is a skill that will empower you on your path of discovery of your own medicine.
  • This will be a fun day of exploring and learning!
